]]> Se reedita el 谩lbum debut de Moonshake Eva Luna con una edici贸n de lujo remasterizada desde las cintas anal贸gicas de 1/2″ en vinilo azul doble. La reedici贸n contiene 19 pistas que adem谩s de las 10 originales del 谩lbum, suman caras B y cuatro pistas de grabaciones para John Peel de noviembre de 1992.

Moonshake se form贸 en 1991 por David Callahan (voz, guitarras, samplers), anteriormente de The Wolfhounds, y la m煤sico neoyorquina Margaret Fiedler (voz, guitarras, samplers). Callahan y

Fiedler grab贸 un demo para Creation Records, y se les unieron John Frenett (bajo) y Miguel Morland (“Mig”, bater铆a) para grabar y lanzar el primer EP para Creaci贸n en 1991. Ellos tomaron su nombre de un sencillo de 1973 de Can. Tanto Fiedler como Callahan escribieron canciones, y (generalmente) cantaban en las canciones que escrib铆an. Su producci贸n de inspiraci贸n compartida produjo resultados muy diferentes: Can, PIL, Kraftwerk, MBV, Erik B y Rakim fueron un crisol que hizo Moonshake algo incategorizable, y como Margaret se帽al贸 en una entrevista, “Moonshake fue una colisi贸n, se supon铆a que era una colisi贸n”.

Su 谩lbum debut Eva Luna tom贸 su nombre de una novela de la autora chilena Isabel Allende y las pistas en 茅l se dividen uniformemente entre los dos compositores. Las canciones de Callahan son algo m谩s disonantes, y post-punk, mientras que los de Fiedler son igual de angulares, pero sus asuntos m谩s tranquilos.
