]]> Joe Moore es uno de esos sibaritas del pop que convierte en oro todo lo que toca. Junto a Maddie Doobie, su compañera en The Yearning, no has dejado alguna de las mejores melodías de los últimos años, y ha dado buenas muestras de su gusto exquisito. Ahí tiraba hacia el chamber-pop, la motown o el soul, pero con The Perfect Kiss se va hacia otros caminos. Lo de ponerse el nombre de una de las mejores canciones de New Order ya da una buena pista, pero no se queda ahí. Estamos ante su banda de synth-pop, pero el abanico de influencias es muy amplio. Moore sigue siendo un fanático de las buenas melodías y los buenos estribillos, y en su segundo trabajo como The Perfect Kiss, nos encontramos con sonidos que recuerdan a los Pet Shop Boys, The Human League, los Ladytron más pop o Saint Etienne.
